Boehner Condemns Attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords
Washington (Jan 8)
Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement condemning the attack on Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and members of her staff today in Tuscon, AZ:
“I am horrified by the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and members of her staff. An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve. Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society. Our prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords, her staff, all who were injured, and their families. This is a sad day for our country."

Washington, DC
The Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA) welcomes a new state chapter. The RNHA congratulates the RNHA of Puerto Rico and its new chairman, Mr. Alberto Escudero as well as Governor Fortuno of Puerto Rico and the Chairman of the Republican Party of Puerto Rico.
RNHA National Chairman Alci Maldonado stated: "It has been my vision and dream even before I was elected as National Chairman that we grow our organization by bringing new chapters into our national membership, especially where state Republican Parties have taken an active role in working to form, supporting and encouraging the founding of a new RNHA chapter as has occurred with the new RNHA of Puerto Rico."
"This is great news! We have added yet another new chapter of committed, enthusiastic Republican activists to our national RNHA family, and I am so pleased that the Republican Party of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Governor Fortuno have given full support to the new chapter! I welcome Puerto Rico RNHA Chairman Alberto Escudero and the members of his new chapter to our RNHA family. All of us look forward to working with them to advance the cause of the RNHA and the Republican Party. We should be very proud that our organization is growing yet again and with such quality members! Here's to our continued expansion, to our many RNHA accomplishments in 2010 and to a great 2011!"
